| *** About 15 years ago I started having problems with my neck. I had aching on the right side of the neck and head. I could feel a knot on my neck that was also sore. I did a lot of driving at that time and carried Ben Gay with me to try and keep the soreness down. I also could look in the mirror and see my head was cocked to one side. Over the last 15 years I have seen several MD's, and orthopedic doctor, a neurosurgeon and several chiropractors. I have had x-rays and MRI's of my neck all with the same results. I either have a degenerate condition, arthritis or was just getting old. As time went by I learned to accept the condition and quit complaining about it. After a while something like that just becomes part of life and you go on. However the knot never went away and I still could not turn my head to the right without discomfort. I also had periods of instability and dizziness. I went to see Dr. Paul Sorchy about a low back problem. He did some physical checking of my spine and informed me that there was a bone on the right side of my beck out of place. He manipulated it and popped it into place. At the time I didn't give it much thought; however later on in the day I noticed that I could move my head to the right without discomfort. I felt my neck and wow, the knot that was there all these years was gone. I didn't say anything at first thinking that it was a temporary fix. Two days later I went on a lengthy motorcycle ride and noticed a mark improvement in my balance and handling for the motorcycle. To this day the knot is gone, my balance is very good and no discomfort in my neck. I thank God for Dr. Paul and his caring touch. May God continue to bless you and use you the way he does. Oh, and by the way, my wife went to Dr. Paul with a very stiff neck after seeing the MD for it. The MD gave her some muscle relaxers which did nothing but make her sleepy. After only 2 visits to Dr. Paul her neck is 100%. X-rays were taken but nothing done to correct problems. Was prescribed medication for blood pressure. What has chiropractic done for you?: Headaches have ceased along with neck problems. Fatigue has been corrected. I experience only minor problems occasionally due to stress. I now FEEL better, thereby increasing the desire to be more active and improve diet. Pain is GONE, activity leaved is UP and my blood pressure is as low as it was over two years ago. Medication is no longer necessary to control blood pressure. Laura T. *** Health Problems: Severe equilibrium problems. I couldn't stand still without holding onto something, nor could I walk without appearing to be drunk. I could not walk on grass or any uneven ground without holding on to someone for dear life. I was very dizzy and unhappy because there were many things I no longer could do. This started over a year ago and I kept getting worse every day. My family just watched, there was nothing they could do. I even told a really close friend that I felt like I was dying very slowly. What treatments did you try first?: A neurosurgeon did and MRI, and MRA and a spinal tap. An endocrinologist did blood work and another MRI. An ENT did several ear tests including the brain stem and hot and cold water forced into my ears. My internist just kept trying to find an answer and they were going to send me to Shands Hospitial in Gainesville for further testing. I couldn't imagine what was left to test! They all agreed to that I have NO equilibrium, but no one knew could be done to correct it, so they were giving the problem to someone else. What has Chiropractic done for you?: Where do I begin?! I can walk in an almost straight line without being self-conscious and embarrassed. Now I can walk on grass or in the park without stumbing and holding onto someone for hear life. Most of the dizziness is now goine and I feel so much hetter. Ever day I get a little better and the funny part is I forgot how it felt to be "normal" again. From what Dr. Paul tells me, we have only just begun since it has only been 2 months. Thank God for sending me to Dr. Paul and all the wonderful staff.
